Dickinson Wright PLLC is pleased to announce that Attorney K.J. Miller has joined the firms Ann Arbor office as a Member.
Ms. Miller has a broad commercial and tort litigation practice and is experienced in successfully resolving disputes in federal and state courts, in arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association, and in facilitations before private mediators. She is one of the states most experienced lawyers in the area of consumer finance litigation, including regulatory issues, Fair Debt Collection Practice Act (FDCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) claims, contested foreclosures and evictions, and Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) compliance issues for mortgage lenders and servicers. Her practice also focuses on cases involving contract disputes, consumer financial services, and negligence, fraud, and insurance claims.
Ms. Miller is a member of the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Detroit Bar Association, the Washtenaw County Bar Association and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is involved with many community organizations, including the Bethany Christian Services Juvenile Immigration Project, and is Vice President for the Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels Board. She also serves as a member of the Ypsilanti Youth Theater Board, and as a member of the Ypsilanti Historic East Side Neighborhood Association Board. Ms. Miller is recognized as a Rising Star by Law & Politics. She received her B.S. from Michigan State University and her J.D. from the Detroit College of Law.
