Criss is our firm’s owner and lead Attorney. Criss attended Arizona State Law School and graduated in 1985. He and his wife, Tracy, have raised their family in Apache County.  Criss is part of an Arizona pioneering family which established itself as stockmen and ranchers in the late 1800s. His family is still involved in that business. Criss grew up in nearby Springerville and is a life long resident of the White Mountains.  He has extensive experience in the courts along the Interstate 40 corridor.

He has served as a lawyer for 28 years- 23 years as a prosecutor.  He has served two terms as  the elected County Attorney and  Chief Prosecutor, working closely with the regional drug task forces. He is an experienced Trial Attorney:  Criss has had litigated thousands of felony and drug cases with over 100 jury trials. He has a strong record as Criminal Defense Attorney.

As elected Apache County Attorney, he was chief civil attorney for Apache County Government.  He also has extensive litigation practice in Family Law, Juvenile Law, Probate, and Guardianship.  He is also experienced in Water and Land law.  He is dedicated to ensuring our commitment to each of our clients.  It is his firm desire to remain accessible and personally involved with each of them.
